Hi, I’m Sanjana!
I’m a therapist, narrative practitioner, and researcher. As a therapist, I try and maintain an approach that is first and foremost curious and collaborative, with a focus on centreing what you want to bring into the therapy space rather than taking an “expert” approach. In other words, therapy is not a space where I can tell you what to do, but an exploratory one where we can co-create and collaboratively discover what avenues are available to you.
I have a particular interest in the intersections of gender, sexuality and mental health, and in taking a systemic lens to understand the sociological, anthropological and philosophical underpinnings of mental health. This informs my therapeutic work as well as the lens I take in my research and other arenas of work.
Currently, I’m working as an independent therapist in my private practice and a researcher at Transform South Asia.
My Work
Therapeutic Services
At its heart, therapy is a journey we undertake together.
While I maintain an eclectic approach drawing from different schools of thought, my therapeutic approach is centred in narrative ideas and practices. Creating a therapeutic space that is queer and trans-affirming as well as holding a neurodiversity-informed lens are an important part of my practice.
I offer individual and family therapeutic services (online) for adolescents and adults above the age of 15.
Group therapy spaces will be announced soon. If you’d like to explore therapy with me, fill out my contact form and I’ll reach out to you.

Teaching & Training
I offer workshops and training sessions on a variety of topics.
I have experience conducting trainings and workshops on different topics including gender, sexuality and mental health, queer affirmative therapy, neurodiversity and learning, ADHD, narrative therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and “Tree of Life” applications in both a school and community context. If you’d like to explore one of the above topics, or create a training program specific to your community or organisation, get in touch to find out more!

Research
I am an independent researcher, with an interest in qualitative research, gender, sexuality and mental health, neurodiversity, narrative practices, and psychotherapy. I’m also working part-time as a researcher at Transform South Asia.
If you’d like to collaborate or discuss a future research project, get in touch! Some examples of my work:
